Joe Reed
Joe is owner/manager of the Steele Creek location. He is an avid VT Hokie and obtained his degree from there in Sports Nutrition with a minor in Exercise Physiology. Joe started personal training in the early 90's while in college and continued for several years after graduating. He left the industry for the corporate jobs, but still personal trained part time. He has now returned full time for good in the field that he is passionate about. "This is my dream job. I get no greater satisfaction than helping someone to change their life and achieve their health and fitness goals. Come see the fun and family atmosphere at Fitness Together."

Eric Proctor
Eric has been active in the health and fitness industry since 2004. He graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, AL where he learned the proper tools for success. After gaining extensive knowledge through managing supplement stores, he decided to take his career to the next level by obtaining his personal training certifications. Since 2006, Eric has been certified by NASM, AAAI, and has CEC credits for active stretching techniques. He loves to share his knowledge to help people achieve their personal fitness goals through proper motivation and an overall compassion to make a client’s goal his own. “Fitness Together knows how to make goals become reality, and how to have fun doing it. I’m excited to be a part of this team!”

Jenny Craven
Jenny’s drive, desire and unwavering dedication has taken her down many paths. Growing up and going to college in New York State, she gained experience in many different areas. Jenny has her BA in Psychology and History, as well as an Exercise Science Minor, but she also spent two years working towards her Masters in Education. However, she always ended up gravitating toward the Health and Fitness field, whether it was through coaching personal training or group exercise classes. Exercise has always been a constant factor in her life so after gradation she decided to get certified as a personal trainer with AFFA, where she felt that she could have a positive impact on people’s lives. “I loved every minute of helping improve the quality of someone’s life. Personal training is my responsibility to educate and motivate my clients so they may become healthier, stronger and have more energy to do the things they love.”

Alex Arango
Alex played college 1st division soccer at FAU and also played at a professional level in Europe. He also works as a head coach for soccer at a private school. Outside of soccer he has trained professional athletes in strength and conditioning, agility, speed, nutrition, as well as martial arts and has been certified in these disciplines. Alex is determined to bring his skills and experience to Fitness Together to achieve every client's goal in a one on one focused environment.

Jacob Surratt
Jacob received his Undergraduate Degree in Physical Education from Appalachian State University, and his Masters Degree in Exercise Science from High Point University. Jacob has experience teaching Physical Education in public schools, sports performance training and rehabilitation with high school and collegiate athletes, and strength and conditioning pit crews at Hendrick Motorsports. In his spare time Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and family, reading, playing guitar and piano, and enjoying outdoor activities. Jacob's passion is helping people realize their full potential, and allowing them to find that light in themselves through hard work, perseverance, and most importantly having fun. "Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."
